South Asia Computer was founded in 1977 by Mr Roger Goh. The company started off with the sales of electronic components at People's Park Centre. In 1983, South Asia Computer shifted its core buisness to the sales of Personal Computers at a new premises located in Funan Centre.

Today, South Asia Computer is a one-stop computer retail shop which deals with the sales of:

  • Personal Computer
  • Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)
  • Digital Cameras
  • Printers
  • MP3 Players
  • Accessories
  • Softwares

Milestone

  • 1977
    South Asia Computer was founded. At that point of time, our core business was the sales of electronic components at People’s Park Centre.
  • 1983
    We our core business to the sales of Personal Computers (PC). Our shop also shifted into Funan Centre, occupying 850 square feet.
  • 1994
    Our shop expanded to 1200 square feet in Funan Centre. We also widen the variety of products to the sales of laptop computers and printers.
  • 1997
    Our shop expanded to 2800 square feet in Funan Centre. Our products continued to vary to CD Writers, Digital Cameras and peripherals.
  • 1999
    We expanded our unit to 6700 square feet in Funan Centre. We carried a full range of digital cameras from various brands from then.
  • 2004
    Our shop expanded to 11000 square feet in Funan Centre in June 2004. To date, we carry about 27,000 IT-related products.
